Hospice Operations Manager

Position Description:

The Hospice Operations Manager is responsible to direct and manage the clinical services for the Hospice Program in our service area ensuring that patient care is timely, coordinated and managed appropriately. The Hospice Operations Manager provides administrative oversight and assures trained and competent staff is available to provide care, utilizing staff within their competencies, and assisting in designing and implementing measurements to monitor and improve processes for effectiveness and quality.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in hospice/home care with five years management or supervisory experience.  Requires a current valid driver's license and a current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.

  • Has demonstrated critical thinking ability, problem-solving skills in an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Has effective communication skills.
  • Understands hospice philosophy and issues of death/dying.
  • Understands principles of pain/symptom management.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize projects.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and is in good working order.
